Christ...I really let this site slip away from me. Most of my free time lately has been dedicated to The Neut and Change of Structure's new site, among various other web projects, and the soul-sucking greatness of Shadow of the Colossus. When I find the time to breathe, I'll definitely come back here and update. There are a lot of project ideas I've beene tossing around and I need to regain some sanity.

Dammit...this archive business screws up the RSS feed too. I'm going to have to rethink how I publish from Blogger... Perhaps even write my own blog system.
I just noticed I forgot to move the SWJ "weekly" comic over. There's probably more I'm forgetting...but I'll get that up by the end of the day. I also had the chance to look at the new design on a Mac (some old verison of Mac IE I believe) yesterday...and it looked like garbage. But you know what? I don't give a shit. The main purpose of my redesigning effort was to play around with some new techniques...specifically Ajax, Flash, and advanced CSS. So, if you're not using IE6 or Firefox, I don't want to associate with you anyway.
Oh, and yes...I do remember promising new content with the new design. That content exists, but it cannot be located at the moment. Once we find the ellusive content I'll encode it and throw it up right away.

Well alright then...that seemed to go pretty smoothly. We're 100% functional right now (except for the archives...we may have lost the archives)...hope you like the new design. Keep a look out in the next couple of days for added comment functionality for each movie, as well as a big announcement for your iPod.

The new site is pretty much complete...at least complete enough to go live. There are still a couple of features I'd like to add, but for the sake of getting the movies out, I'll probably try to launch sometime tonight.

I am making excellent progress with the new site. I'd say it's at about 90% completion right now. I re-encoded all the movies over the weekend, and I'm very impressed with the results. I used the highest quality settings on the FLV encoder and there's no loss of quality, yet the file sizes are roughly half what they used to be. Also, the new server I put the movies on is slick as snot. Expect to see the shiney new site at this very place within the next couple of days or so.
